We are a demographic dealing with disproportionately high rates of suicide, sexual assault, aggravated assault, medical mistreatment, employment discrimination, financial instability, cultural scapegoating and public scrutiny. The feeling of going to sisyphean lengths only to achieve a slightly slower demise as this country wrecks and throws trans people under its wheels... is still worth crawling on our hands and knees for, so long as we're shown the love and effort that we need and deserve.
